Ahmad Jadallah's Blog

 

An MBA graduate from the American University in Dubai, Ahmad is the Director of Development at Semaphore Studios in Riyadh, overseeing the production of games, multimedia and virtual reality projects for Mobile, Desktop and Next-Gen Consoles.

 

He won the 2002 "Young Entrepreneur" award by Arabian Business Magazine which was presented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in addition to ten other local, regional and international awards.

 

Ahmad is a regular speaker and advocate of local game development at universities and exhibitions, and he served as an advisory board member for the Dubai World Game Expo.

 

Worked for three years at Vertex Studios in Dubai as the Technical Manager and Lead Game Designer of several game titles ranging from casual to action adventure utilizing CryEngine 2 and 3, Unity 3D and Unreal Engine 4.

 

Ahmad's early portfolio included the production of an award winning web browser titled "Yahadi Browser" which captured the attention of numerous media channels including TV, Radio and Newspapers locally and internationally such as (BBC World, CNBC Arabia and Dubai TV).

 

His latest work is writing and directing the studio's recently released flagship title named "Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta" (www.unearthedgame.com).

I wonder why they never delivered their videos in 1080P, if storage was an issue they could have used Youtube for that. Watching 720P videos even back in 2012 was pushing it.
