Self-proclaimed "creative force that drives this industry", Amir Sharar is a jack of all trades, master of none. A musician, graphic artist, level designer and game designer with no formal training, Amir is most well known for his "fun quantifier" that is able to measure how fun a game is. That said, he is not very well known. A recent University graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering and a Minor in Business Management, Amir's experience in the gaming industry is limited to writing Videogame Reviews for a major Canadian City Newspaper. Despite the lack of experience, he feels that posting on videogame messageboards since the mid-90s qualifies him as an expert on the industry and has given him the necessary know-how to comment on anything videogame related.

I'm real old skool, so ... I'm real old skool, so I consider them games. Really, it's much like the arcade boom in the late 70s to early 80s where simple to play games like Galaxian and PacMan ruled the day. There really isn't any point of contention here when you keep that in mind. It ... |

I would assume that they ... I would assume that they would offer 20 and 50 cards at retailers, just as Sony does. I wonder if this has anything to do with volatile currencies between different regions, I know the Canadian dollar has fluctuated between 0.77USD and 1.05 USD within the last 3 years, making some ... |

I agree that racing developers ... I agree that racing developers already do surveys, but not though their games. They do it on their websites, through forums, and through email. What they seem to be catering to are all the die-hards that stayed with the game which is fine but are missing out on the opinion ... |

As Micah points out, the ... As Micah points out, the poor sales of Split/Second may have more to do with the circumstances of its release, rather than a decline in the genre. I say that because this year has been excellent for racing fans. Forza 4, GT5 Spec 2, F1 2011, DiRT 3, iRacing 2.0, ... |

Thanks Joe, now that you ... Thanks Joe, now that you mention some of the character backgrounds it's all coming back to me. I suppose it goes to show how much of it is background fluff and yes, could be easily replaced with any other sort of relationship, but as I'll describe later that may not ... |
