Andreas Heldt is co-founder and managing director of Z-Software GmbH. Z-Software GmbH is an independent game developer and offers Motion Capture service. Z-Software GmbH also organizes set.NRW (local game developer event in Germany in NRW) four times in a year.
This is a story about the game "Solar Struggle" which released 2010 on XBLIG and took about four years to release on Steam.
In this post I wanted to tell the reader our experiences with publishing a game on the XBLIG platform. I told you some of our ideas, some things we have done well and other things where we failed.
Some thoughts about independent game development from a small game development company from germany.
