Week 6 and feature lock down, the team is now focusing on the graphics in the game. The graphics programmer has one week left to make the game look god now, because of the deadline for the PR video (July 31) we had to re prioritize a bit. Two of the programmers are now working with graphics related to programming and the physics programmer is doing QA. He gets lists from me with stuff he must fix, Marius and Martin is working with shaders and particles this week. Martin got the spot light to work this Sunday, great.

Agenda for the graphics programmers this week:

Shadows

Player character animations (First person)

Animated texture

Moving spot lights

Spot light upgrade

Dynamic fog shader

Big screen TV shader

Particle effects upgrade

The other programmer will work with QA, sound upgrade, upgrade stuff in the level editor, fix broken stuff (We don’t have that much broken stuff but there are some ugly bugs)

I have also decided to not use the outline shader, the game looks better without it.

This week’s Gameplay video to have the outline, but stay tuned next week and you will se that it is gone.

BTW: the physics programmer Lars broke his arm ice skating, but he will still work on his tasks. Hopefully this won’t affect his work velocity that much, but he will be disabled trough the rest of the Dare competition. (Programmers should not go ice skating)

Hope it heals well Lars

My tasks this week are: tweak the level, prepare stuff for the PR video, QA, feedback the completed tasks for the programmers, put out lights in the level and tweak them, more QA and sound design. I still got a lot of sound left so I really need to get my hands on some spectator’s sounds. The sound mentor promised me he will bring a CD with that this week.

The artist: animations, animations and animations, and upgrade some textures.
