Brad Venable's Blog

Brad is a Los Angeles-based voice actor and was once described as "holding down the X-Y...both generations...and chromosomes." Brad smiled at the appropriately understated, yet geeky, compliment.

Computer tech, jock-in-exile, comic book collector, future guest on Wil Wheaton’s Tabletop, music snob, pop culture nerd, and avid gamer, Brad covers about every sub-culture cliché known to man, and can still sound like the don't-dare-call-him-coolest hipster to ever wear clothes ironically. Now that's actual irony for you, as opposed to the things in the Alanis Morissette song, which aren’t ironic, they just suck.

Speaking of irony, he's the national promo voice of Planet Fitness. If you've ever met Brad, you can see why that's ironic. Other, more un-ironic work includes stuff for Blizzard Entertainment, Pepsi, Google, McDonald’s, FUNimation, the National Hockey League, Honda, BioWare, Robot Entertainment, Fantasy Flight Games, and if you heard his work in SMITE or Paladins, you know that he grunts, yells, swings heavy objects, gets hit a lot, and dies spectacularly...sometimes in a fire.

Brad sports an impressive record collection, and owns over five hundred board games. That's a lot of vinyl and cardboard.

To find out more about Brad and his misadventures, head to or follow him on Twitter over at @bradvenable.

At @? Isn't that redundant?

I 'm having a lot of fun with this game. I think that it 's valid to say that the campaign and multiplayer games are vastly different, but to say that you 're robbing a player of multiplayer mechanics in the campaign is only as valid as saying that you ...

Wonderful article. I see this ...

Wonderful article. I see this opening the door for a series of classic games that were groundbreaking in its level design. Very well done. One minor correction: Moblins were never in dungeons, those are Goriyas. Thanks again. Great read
