When he's not writing or working, you can often catch him sneaking in a game or two across various gaming platforms, under the gamertag "NitehawkFury."

Also, he loves to play as Garen in League of Legends. Take for that what you will.

Comment In: Time to move on from the gameplay vs. story debate [News - 05/10/2013 - 04:08]

Steven already mentioned the point, ...

Steven already mentioned the point, but whenever people mention Choose Your Own Adventure, I 'm reminded of game books such as Lone Wolf and Grey Star by Joe Devar, which were CYOA books that also incorporated a pen and paper gameplay to them. Almost like a portable D D session. ...

Semantics aside, I really wasn 't looking to introduce discussion on the games as art topic. Really, I just had some thoughts about the similarities of a player as the main actor in whatever game he/she is playing. The player is, or should be, the main instigator, the person whose ...

This sounds like a really ...

This sounds like a really interesting idea. While I'm not sure about the balancing issues in a free-to-play strategy game, if done correctly, opening up the game to a large-scale tactical mindset, and forcing alliances to be formed among players in order to survive and thrive could really make the ...

Comment In: PRACTICE: Do Designers Need To Be Programmers? [News - 10/30/2011 - 12:26]

This is a debate that ...

This is a debate that I've had with myself for quite a long time. I've got some art skills, but my strengths have always been design and production, but programming is something that has always been glaringly lacking. Being that the majority consensus seems to be to at least have ...

I'm glad that someone else ...

I'm glad that someone else sees the same thing. Gamers, for some reason or another, just always seem to think that they're entitled to everything, ever, and shouldn't have to pay for things. And for those responses that think otherwise, the thing is, you're not paying EXTRA. If you buy ...

Comment In: The Hypocrisy Of AAA Accessibility [Blog - 07/11/2011 - 02:21]

I think this really comes ...

I think this really comes down more to personal preference than simply that games aren't catering to the right audience. As I read through the comments, I've noticed that a lot of people are defending their views that challenge is worthwhile, and I do agree. For me, a thing is ...
