I serve as Gamasutra's Editor-at-Large. I am still not entirely sure what "Editor-at-Large" means, but an online definition search of the phrase "at large" suggests that it could mean "Editor on the Loose," and I think that freewheeling imagery really captures what I'm all about, as evidenced by that wild and wacky photograph on your screen.
Currently I also co-host the weekly Idle Thumbs podcast, the current incarnation of a gaming culture site I helped found in 2004.
Prior to my role at Gamasutra, I was Editor-in-Chief at Shacknews, where I worked for three years and spearheaded the site's shift from news aggregation to publishing original reporting and in-house features.
Authorities report I am still at large.

I don't think Uncharted 2 ... I don't think Uncharted 2 makes any particular stride towards art, whether or not games are already there. To me, characterizing the game as having that kind of impact drastically confuses craft with artistry. It's a phenomenally well-made game, in terms of having gorgeous graphics, well-directed cutscenes and voice acting, ... |
