My name's Dan, and I'm a game design student at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, expecting to graduate in May 2011.
I worked for the Emergent Media Center in 2010 as the QA Lead for Breakaway, a game made with the goal of reducing violence against women. I've gone into this field because I believe in the power of games to enrich people's lives - especially kids.
I've also written a number of articles probing the underlying meaning of Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series, hoping to deepen people's appreciation for these games that had such a strong impact on me.
