I'm a young brazilian Game Design Student (Bachelor's degree) willing to gather as much game design knowledge as possible. Be it by studying hard or by learning how NOT to make games with weird failed projects, it doesn't matter: knowledge is golden, either in the form of a mistake or in the form of a success. I'm currently working as a QA Tester in the biggest game developer in Brazil.

My ultimate life goal is to be able to one day be an Indie developer and be able to survive doing it. It's my dream.

Before Unity and UDK even existed and were available to the masses, what softwares the (really) young minds could use to experience the joys of Game Design?

As a Brazilian game design student I see that a lot of people from Brazil are curious about making games. In this blog I will clarify some details that usually are left unsettled when they ask me about it and also reveal my personal experience.
