Jason Manley is President of www.massiveblack.com and the Founding Director of www.conceptart.org/forums . In 2002 he set out to build Massive Black Inc. from the ground up with a meager six thousand dollars in seed capital and one goal in mind. Massive Black was to be the top quality Art and content provider to the global video games industry.
Massive Black became the very first next-gen art provider and the first full production art house in the field. Over the next six years, Jason signed 174 famous clients, including Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Bethesda, EA, Disney, Blizzard, id software, Bungie, THQ, Bethesda, Ensemble Studios, Nvidia, MTV, Sega, and a total of 19 of the top 20 video game publishers. Jason has been responsible for company vision, developing experienced teams in San Francisco, Shanghai, and Bankgok and outsourcing strategies at the company. Massive Black projects include Bioshock 2, Doom 4, Rage, Killzone 2, Fallout 3, God of War 3, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and many other major hit titles.
Jason has aided Massive Black in contributing to 200+ next-generation AAA titles since inception and has seen his company successfully complete more than 243 projects to date, including 35 which were sold at the publisher/V.C. levels.
In 2002 Jason founded the industry social network and community ConceptArt.Org with a personal fifty dollar investment. The vibrant www.conceptart.org/forums now draws 1.3 million visits per month and currently has 160,000 registered members internationally including showcasing an astounding two million pieces of art. Jason is a leading expert in the field of games industry social networking and community development having been involved in community building, education, and online technology since his career began.
In order to support artists around the world, and the improvement of games industry art, Jason created the successful North American, Asian, and European Art and Design Symposiums www.conceptart.org/workshop . More than 300 major entertainment companies, and 7000 students and professionals have attended these events to learn and create with Massive Black Inc and ConceptArt.Org. In 2006, Jason helped found the ConceptArt.Org Atelier, a two year educational program, based in San Francisco, for aspiring concept artists. This program has since been voted the top digital art school in the world by Imagine FX magazine www.conceptart.org/school .
