I'm 27 years old, and I'm a Gameplay Engineer at LucasArts, and I recently graduated from the SMU Guildhall with a graduate degree in Game Engineering.  I enjoy all kinds of game engineering, but I have a particular interest in gameplay and AI.

There are people who believe that if a game is too "hardcore" it alienates the casual players, and there are people who believe that if a game is too "casual" it alienates the hardcore players. I believe this is a false dichotomy.

A Life Long Career In Game Development  Featured Blogs

Games have been around since the 1970s (roughly), which means that if those early developers had made a lifelong career out of it, then they would be in their 50s today. Yet, most shops are full of people in their 20s and 30s. I wonder why this is?
