Kenneth Young's Blog

Kenny is from Edinburgh, Scotland, and lives in Guildford, near London, where he is the Head of Audio at Media Molecule and responsible for the audio experience in their games, most recently LittleBigPlanet, its sequel and their numerous DLC packs.

Before joining Media Molecule Kenny was a sound designer at Sony’s London Studio where he worked on over a dozen titles including 24: The Game, EyeToy: Kinetic, Fired Up, Gangs of London, The Getaway: Black Monday and Heavenly Sword. Prior to this he studied music technology as an undergraduate and went on to gain an MA, with distinction, in sound design.

Kenny is an active member of the game audio community, sits on the GDC audio advisory board, is a GANG IESD chair, has been a BAFTA juror and spoken at GDC, GDC Europe, Develop Brighton, Develop Liverpool, GameCity, the Vision Sound Music festival, London Songwriters Week, the PRS, the University of Edinburgh, Leeds College of Music and the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies.
