I'm with Harry on this, the game design was piss poor. Playing this game was like going on a date with a supermodel - amazing to look at but interpersonal interaction severely lacking. I sold the game back to the retailer two days after playing and went back into GOW ...
Just another case of a developer not executing being shuttered. I think there is enough case evidence for developers to understanding they need to over-deliver every time. If the publisher fails to make the game a hit, the community and other publishers will recognize your ability for future work/purchase consideration.
Nolan is terrific, brilliant and considerate. For me, I've worked with a few people with Steve's level of intelligence and vision. As long as they delivered the goods, everything was fine. However, due to their caustic personalities, they rarely had allies in hard or down times.
