| What if Bethesda took the chance to offer the player a new level of immersion? What if players could actually say activate the shouts by saying them aloud, using a microphone, rather than equipping and using them through a menu? |

| Games are built on abstractions, both from the design standpoint and the player standpoint. There’s no point in “real life” where pressing X makes a person perform a jump, or a kick, or whatever. It’s an abstraction. |

Yes, of course they would ... Yes, of course they would need to be optional. That's why I like the idea of keeping it limited to only a few commands in a few specific areas. |

Certainly - I doubted that ... Certainly - I doubted that I was the first to think of this. However, currently only quest items are altered in this way, not rare items, which is more the point of my post. |

I agree. That's why people ... I agree. That's why people keep buying all episodic stuff, including comics, games, television series and all that. It's about constant progression of a story and good characters - just labeling it content isn't really the point of the thing. That's one of the things that bothers me with all ... |

I don't like the idea ... I don't like the idea of a commander and multiple troops that don't have as much power. I envisioned small 4 person teams because I think that the Left 4 Dead teamsize is small enough that everyone feels like they matter, but big enough that you need to work together, ... |
