Luke S's Blog

Greetings, I'm an Operations Management student (second degree) in my thirties, with over a decade of project management and information science experience under my belt. I have worked for community arts organisations, my provincial university, and a global energy company.

My academic research in Commerce has an emphasis on the Asia-Pacific marketplace, and more broadly on international trade. I speak and write a modest amount of Japanese.

I'm attempting to get an intership with BioWare to further my academic and professional goals. One possible focus is studying how successful Asian MMO / mobile philosophies and microtransaction models are influencing western markets. E.g. As seen with Perfect World Entertainment's acquisition of Cryptic, Runic, and Zombie.

I think the current state of JC Penney is an important read for any developer/publisher concerned about the impact sales have.
