Mark was most recently VP Technology at THQ. He is the creator of the Game Programming Gems series of books. As a passionate proponent for making videogame development simpler and less expensive, Mark has also worked in technology leadership positions at Google, Sony, Nintendo and Ubisoft, as well as editor-in-chief of Game Developer magazine.

Mark currently sits on the boards of directors of Mixamo and game charity OneBigGame. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
