Absolutely Colossal Adventure on the BBC Micro was my first adventure game, 1981 I think. You had to sketch out your own tiled room map as you went along from the text descriptions :
Absolutely Great job with the sound - from the first crackle and plink of those neon lights... Had a lot of fun tracking down the hidden cars and enjoying their different sounds - the work that went into researching these and other details is quite stunning.
