Matthew Perez's Blog

Matthew R. Perez is a Senior at Chapman University.

He will be graduating with a BFA in Digital Arts with a Minor in Game Development Programming with a strong emphasis on Game Design.

He is also the co-founder of a small indie multi-media group BRIGAND STUDIOS and and is also Game Designer aboard their flagship title into the video game space, currently in development.

After a long standing love affair with Filmmaking and VFX he turned his sights back to his roots as an avid Gamer and to some would say a Game Critic. Taking queues from the long standing traditions of story telling in films he hopes to bring these sensibilities to the gaming space with more character driven narratives told through engaging game play.

With great power, comes great ...

With great power, comes great responsibility. This quote rings true with the state of contention in this interview. That you cannot assume your audience are idiots. As Designers and Creatives we are given the roles of creating these worlds and concepts for the audience to grapple with in a game ...
