I am new here, but it seems I might be around for a minute. If you're of a similar mind, then stay awhile, and listen...
I hail from the northeastern corner of rural Pennsylvania, and if that isn't a familiar place to you, you have probably lived a happy life. Having traveled throughout the Northeast, the Midwest, Central America, and the Southeastern Subcontinent, my perspective is at once bizarre and multicultural. Despite my living in the Prime, I've spent a great deal of time in worlds between pages and across star systems. I've cultivated several interesting breeds of alien lifeforms, depopulated planets, and harvested the entire accessible galaxy in Mass Effect 2 in a manner that would make Spanish Influenza or Exxon Mobil look like charitable organizations.
My gaming career started almost twenty years ago, and the affliction has only gotten worse since then. While I do tend to neglect sports games, and to a lesser extent racing games (though I have binged here and there), no other genre has been safe since I started all those years ago with Microsoft Flight Simulator, Hellbender, Dungeon Keeper, Mario, and Duck Hunt. I was playing Contra and Tetris before I knew how to curse, and I was tapping two colorless and a swamp at the exact same time that I learned what the word 'coercion' meant.
The nerd is strong in this one.
Being insane, I am what is called in some gaming circles, a completionist. Many people here will know what that means, and depending on your position in the gaming world I am indeed an actionable asset willing to find gainful advancement, or in the case that you are a nuts-and-bolts type: I cackle madly with glee and fury at your efforts to keep me from breaking everything and finding that one nigh-inaccessible crag atop Mount Whoa-that's-high that didn't tie quite together fully and sends me falling through the world forever while I mark the spot to troll my friends with later. To everyone else, I am simply that guy that wrings every line of dialogue from every npc in the game, while picking every flower, and cursing those I can't.
I enjoy yoga, hiking, writing whatever pops into my head, and travel, as well as reading all the best books I can find. I also roll d20's on the frequent, playing one of the best games that never needed an outlet with my friends.
Currently, I work the freelance, and would happily accept offers from all comers to try my hand at something more lucrative and challenging than beta testing for "The newest most amazing MMO ever made!" ... again... and again... and again... Not to hate on the MMO's... but, I mean... c'mon. Just... c'mon.
