Game Programming Design Patterns - The Factory Pattern

While strong CS fundamentals are good programming, using library provided functions is oftentimes better. This usually leaves the programmer in the position of having to come up with a good design, so I look at the Factory pattern in game programming.

A brief review of Steffen Itterheim's book on Cocos2d programming called "Learn iPhone and iPad Cocos2d Game Development". Extremely short review: an excellent beginner to mid-level development book. Definitely worth a buy before you make your first game.
