Michael Tiambeng's Blog

Well, for starters, my name is Michael. I've carried the handle "Washuaddict" since my early teens. Don't let the nickname fool you though. I tend to stay more on the serious side of conversations and discussions when the time calls for it. I've been a fan of games since I first picked up my father's '89 Game Boy and played Side Pocket and Hunt for the Red October. I have no artistic abilities or programming skills, but over the years I have learned that it takes much more than code and characters to make a hit game. Video gaming is an industry, a business that employs artists, writers, programmers, marketers, managers, and so much more. All of the people, from developers to promoters, work together to make a quality product for everyone to enjoy. I want to be a part of that team with a contribution in Network Administration and Network Security. If you had to categorize me, I'm a huge Sony fan, and avid RTS player. Am I really good at them, probably not, but it doesn't deter me from getting a round of Starcraft in with my friends. My aspiration while here in college is to make it into the Sony ranks and have my name in the credits just like everyone else. (Maybe not the Sony part, but you know what I mean.) I joined in search for knowledge and wisdom from those in the field. If they made it to their dream job, what is stopping me? =^^=

Joanna Dark is the girl ...

Joanna Dark is the girl you're thinking of. Perfect Dark was an excellent game through and through for the time period. I mean, it was at its simplest form Goldeneye 2.0 with James Bond being replaced with a woman who was pretty much his equal in many categories.

Comment In: Why I’m sceptical of Kinect [Blog - 09/20/2010 - 07:40]

What an excellent article Most of my friends are ardent MS supporters and believe that the Move is just WiiHD. I'm not here to start up that argument, but this article has a lot of points that I believe are relevant short burst gaming, limited game types, etc. . I ...

This article is very insightful. Albeit a bit depressing, but it is someone's life that they've lived. I'm no artist or author, but I'm studying the business ends of things to get into the field. In my classes, the focus has always been placed on consumers and shareholders since they ...
