Ron Alpert's Blog

I'm an independent developer (headcaseGames.com) since 2009, two titles released on iPhone and one on Android with much more to come!

I pride myself on having extensive practical knowledge of the history of electronic gaming, and over a decade of production experience as well (Activision, Sierra On-Line, 3DO, Rhythm & Hues, among others) texturemonkey.com

Originally from Boston, I have found much success since relocating to Los Angeles several years ago and look forward to working on more great projects (and with more great people!) in the future.

Gaming journalism goes sensational for clicks once again. Rest assured, COD sales are certainly not cooling down anytime soon, at least not for a few more years.

It always strikes me as strange when people wonder how different would things be if not for The Crash... If you look at every big juncture of games introduction, NES era, PSX era, etc they all make a lot of sense and were fairly unavoidable in one way or another, ...

they really don't need to sell out - in fact I am somewhat surprised that Popcap actually did, because considering the levels that these guys operate at, Money just really does not matter any more. However, it does make sense in certain cases to partner up with someone who will ...
