Sad news. I hope we 'll see Yasumi back to making games after he gets a chance to take a break. His work, particularly Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen, was a big part of what inspired me to pursue game design as a career.

The heart of games is not points, but process. Games have the capacity to persuade us because they can depict perspectives on how things work, and they can give us insights into the complex and often ambiguous connections between them. Beautiful final section. Great article Ian.
