I am beginning my career of game design.

I have had enough of this video game industrial bullshit, grokking new games within only a few hours, maybe minutes, only to fall back into the despairing pit of boredom that is victory and understanding. I move listlessly from game to game and genre to genre, half searching, studying.... half trying to give a shit about my responsibility to myself, humanity.... quarter hoping for inspiration.... nineteen hundredths existential reflection.

I must create a game. The perfect game, that is. Not just what I like or think is awesome, but what is undeniably the ultimate realization in game potential as a medium. Everything can and should be perfect: gameplay, theme, world, multiplayer, all aspects contained therein. But, I will need proof of concept, I will need a career history, money, a team, and a reputation. It's time to get started. All the big name corporate machines and pseudo celebrities can't seem to pull this one out of their collective / individual asses.

I'm --as of writing-- 25.5 years of age; I have approximately two decades of video game experience as a consumer. My first played game, that I can remember playing, is DOOM and DOOM II for the PC. I was about five years old, sitting on a knee of my father while my brother sat on another. I have yet to kill a real person in real life with a real gun, but that's a commentary for another post.

My First Video GameWhy game design? Because I'm a natural born, super genius of game design. I have my ideas, my passions, my visions, and my impatience to grind through learning technical skills in order to qualify for a specialized position in any other department. I'm solely a game designer gonnabe. Sure, I'm going to have to pull some grunt work just to be able to create some portfolio garbage, but that's unavoidable since I'm not related to nor friends with someone in the right position.

I have no other choice, I simply don't care to have any other job nor any other field of work. I'm both trapped and enfreedomed by this career choice / destiny, so.... hello world, my name is Steve.
