Warwick Gavaghan's Blog

Warwick Gavaghan is a web designer who wanted to be associated with gaming other than just playing games. So he started a blog, something to provide a little bit more exposure of the industry, facilitate thinking about games differently to games students, and so altruisticgamer.com was born. He doesn't like being judged on his lack of experience in any field and hopes that since the internet gives everyone a voice his might be heard as well...or at least be treated to some free virtual cake.

Part of the problem is ...

Part of the problem is that now that everyone has a voice via the Internet we can't help but listen to all of them. Sure it is easy enough to ignore but most people I have almost fallen prey to this react to comments that hate on their console/game in ...

Comment In: No Murder - Mirror's Edge [Blog - 06/24/2009 - 11:49]

I never connected with Faith ...

I never connected with Faith on the level you did, or found myself as immersed. I more saw Mirror's Edge as a tool for me to enjoy, to experience free-running in-game. However from a gameplay and design standpoint I did find the inclusion of the combat to be tedious...but that ...

@ Hanno - to be ...

@ Hanno - to be honest games don't seem to tackle religion enough in games. I would love to see them illustrate both sides, not necessarily in the same game, but at least have religion expressed in games more. They don't need to be reflective of real-life religion either, just ...
