I create games using BYOND, Audacity, The Freesound Project, Inkscape, and free textures that usually come from either Spiral Graphics or someone named Psionic who may or not be this guy (but the links in the texture pack lead to dead sites).
I have also taken over the volunteer position of running BYOND Strategy, a guild on BYOND dedicated to games with strategy mechanics. In March of 2007, I started writing Along The Tech Tree as a means to motivate developers to add games to the guild.
I tend to go by the name ACWraith and my personal blog can be found here.

Comment In: The Elegance Of Continuity. [Blog - 12/17/2009 - 02:31]

I enjoyed Continuity as well. ... I enjoyed Continuity as well. I normally shy away from platformers, but this time I stuck around to beat all of the levels. The environmental dangers were puzzles I could manipulate rather than cheap traps. Running and jumping around was then an opportunity to celebrate hypothetical solutions. |

Probably. There's an anime fangame ... Probably. There's an anime fangame community on BYOND, but they now tend to gather in the BYOND Anime guild. I post links to free legal anime there once in a while and pretend I'm decreasing piracy. That said, I tend to focus on BYOND Strategy. The guild still lists the ... |

If you have an idea ... If you have an idea that you believe to actually be original, you don't have to be a god to create software. I'm partial to BYOND, but there are plenty of other entry-level tools as well. I've never quite subscribed to the notion that good ideas are a dime a ... |

I'm biased since I've been ... I'm biased since I've been doing volunteer work on a segment of the site, but I'd also suggest BYOND http://www.byond.com as a game creation application. It features a loosely typed object-oriented language, a tile-based engine, integrated network capabilities, and a subscription passport system for those who wish to charge for ... |
