Sad to see them go, I especially like the Timesplitters games... some of the finest Co-op games out there. I wish the rest of them luck on their future endeavors.
I agree with Jake on this one. I prefer to see the conditions the NPCs are living in and craft my own story. In real life, its usually like that - first impressions are last impressions, you probably wouldn't want to have people telling you their life's story every time ...
I agree definitely with this list, Fallout 3 has been a joy to play Sins of a solar Empire came out almost at the beginning and made it in this list - hurrah for them :D Im happy WoW isn't there either
Great summary, I have to agree with the Wii shovelware and unchecked piracy bits. I would probably have pushed piracy it higher up on the scale, seeing as how we see an article per week about it on Gamasutra...
maybe some developers can learn from Stardock's success stories, and release games when they're done instead of putting out partial crap for the holidays I have big respect for the company that forgoes DRMs on top of their non-mainstream publishing tactics to put out really good games that also sell ...

Great Article, great overview I also hope that fast gaming doesn't devolve following the quantity over quality mantra. The high number of shovelware on current consoles is already a sad sight.
