I'm an Environmental Studies major at the University of California Santa Barbara with a passion for photography, hiking, and soccer. However, my real passions lies with videogames and I've spent a substantial part of the last 10 years playing them in my free time. I decided I might as well use this experience for something greater so that's why I'm here writing about them.
Videogame microtransactions have grown incredibly in the past decade and with it, public resentment. Will they remain or will enough pressure from the public cause them to disappear? Here I provide a general overview and the implications of their use.
