Mike Doucet's Blog

I am a Game Designer and Project Manager with experience designing and developing three games as project coordinator. I am currently a production intern at Untold Entertainment as well as a co-founder of and producer at YoyoBolo Games.

In mid-October  we began a daily diary detailing the development of our first game titled “New School Blues”.  As three recent graduates and a development team new to the industry we focused on not only providing posts that would detail our daily activities, but also offer added explanations for those unfamiliar with the varied aspects of video game development.  We are now excited to share it here at GamaSutra as well and hope you will enjoy reading and maybe learn something new!  The latter of which we did many times in the past few months...

------------

YoyoBolo Games have been developing titles for PC/Mac, iPad, and Android Tablet in the Toronto area since October of 2012. The team was incubated at Untold Entertainment Inc., and tasked with developing a polished adventure game using UGAGS, the Untold Graphic Adventure Game System.

YoyoBolo Games are dedicated to creating quality video game experiences that the whole family can enjoy. Our mission is to bring engaging interactive experiences that invoke a sense of both fun and discovery. The regularly-updated YoyoBolo Games developer diary provides valuable insight into the experience of a novice game development team puzzling their way through their first game development experience. Our current title “New School Blues”, a 2d graphic adventure, is set to be released on February 25th of 2013, published by Untold Entertainment.
