Konpu gacha are getting a lot of attention at the moment, yet I've seen the konpu gacha mechanism explained incorrectly in the Western media again and again. Konpu gacha is a special case of the more general gacha, and I'll try to explain the differences.

Nintendo is a Japanese company Sony isn 't really, anymore . The Japanese indie scene is quite different, has a different image, and hasn 't really produced even a single major financial hit. I think these policies are mostly dictated from Japan and hugely influenced by these regional differences.

Hmmm... I 'm pretty sure the problems aren 't technical, but to due to Apple 's restrictive policies. Remember they want a 30 of everything app-related that goes thru the platform, no exceptions, no loopholes.
