Why does no one ever ...

Why does no one ever talk about the problem of strain on the lens to have the eye focus on an image an inch away, no nevermind the fact that the lens never changes focus when things are meant to be moving closer or farther away Depth perception does not ...

Comment In: EA (still) won't be paying gun manufacturers [News - 05/08/2013 - 03:57]

Apparently, EA has never paid ...

Apparently, EA has never paid gun manufacturers to license their guns. So this is basically like someone who 's never smoked publicly declaring that they 're giving up smoking. r n r nhttp://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/05/no-ea-wont-license-guns-in-its-2013-games-but-it-never-has/

I 'd point out that ...

I 'd point out that a similar dupe happened in Asheron 's Call, whereby trying to buy too many expensive items rolled the cost into negative values and the store owner would hand you tons of cash for buying tons of pricey things. They dragged their heels for a few ...

I really like TERA 's ...

I really like TERA 's F2P implementation. TERA invites you to play the game and have fun, and once you 're really enjoying yourself they invite you to buy some party favours to celebrate being able to play a fun game. r n r nThey never tap you on the ...

Comment In: Durango's 'always on' likelihood irritates players and devs alike [News - 04/05/2013 - 12:11]

I 'd point out that ...

I 'd point out that I can buy an electricity generator and run my vacuum cleaner without connecting it to an external grid. I am entirely able to produce everything necessary to operate my vacuum cleaner on my own. r n r nCan the same be said for an internet-authenticated ...

Comment In: Apathy and refunds are more dangerous than piracy. [Blog - 03/18/2013 - 05:10]

It 's important to think ...

It 's important to think in terms of the marginal cost to increase supply rather than the amount of supply. The amount of supply in almost any industry is infinite in so far as manufacturers will produce more so long as the marginal cost to supply another unit is lower ...

Comment In: Who's buying all these niche simulation games, anyway? We found out [News - 03/15/2013 - 03:53]

If nothing else, games like Farming Simulator should be an easy pitch to parents who are concerned about giving their boy a shooting game

Comment In: Opinion: SimCity launch debacle comes down to mismanaged expectations [News - 03/15/2013 - 10:52]

I wonder if anyone will ...

I wonder if anyone will do a meaningful comparison to the previous always-on DRM game from Maxis: Darkspore. I passed that one up too because of the always-on feature that caused you to lose all your loot and XP gains if you disconnected mid-game.
