Hear hear Tracy et al Agreed, let 's not feed the grognards or continue employing them . They 've already consumed some of our best and skew our industry to produce games that simply aren 't accessible to most, for any number of reasons. Games are for everyone.

That 's great Samuli There are exceptions, mostly small shops that still have respect for talent. Often that 's why they got started in the first place, just look at the origins of Activision etc. from the fallout of Atari. Same story, now 30 YEARS LATER

This is great Kris, thanks for posting. It sounds like Rust has all the tokens of quality experience design. I 've been reluctant to drop a 20 on it, but increasingly your reporting has me convinced.
