I am an artist. I play games for over 25 years and make games for well over 7. I love knights, gods, dragons, monsters in general, spells, spaceships, lasers, massive online worlds, facebook and casual games. 

I believe in emotion and story driven gameplay with social extensions as well as pointless wandering in digital worlds while clicking on my rewards...

GDC was all about facebook it seems and the word has it "traditional" developers and publishers shit their pants :) excuse my language but that is they idea i got. Things apparently look "sad" for the games we all know and love.. but not necessarily...

I wouldn 't say new strategy. This is what Nintendo traditionally does. r nAwesome 1st party games that have a very long tail and lift the platform. They did this with every device. Hopefully what is often referred to as Nintendo Magic will work for WiiU as well r n ...

Random upgrades is a simple and meaningful way to do it, but still does not really set you free from level/equipment requirements in order to progress. I think skill based flow complimented with random gear bonus could be a better solution opposed to the classic level/equipment based gameplay in order ...
