The Environmental Tectonics Corporation's (ETC) Simulation Division has been awarded a contract to develop an Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (ADMS) for the Community College of Aurora in Colorado. The ADMS will be used at the college's Critical Incident Theater, and will train students enrolled in Aurora's Fire Academy, Police Academy and Emergency Medical Technicians first responder programs. Students studying to be emergency managers and evacuation city managers will also receive ADMS training. The Community College of Aurora expects to train over 1,000 students annually with ADMS. "The Community College of Aurora strives to be at the cutting edge of learning - keeping students, who are also often working adults, engaged in relevant learning that will allow them to not only succeed in the world but excel at it," said Critical Incident Theater director Clinton Anderson. Anderson continues: "We want to provide the best training, to the best people, so that they can provide the best care during the worst of times. ADMS will enable us to be the best by providing us the best training out there, hands down." The ETC provides ADMS systems for several emergency training programs worldwide, including The Hong Kong Fire Brigade and the Dusseldorf Fire School in Germany.
