Peter Molyneux's "Using The Evolution Of Black & White As An Example Of Next Generation Development Ethos"

Available for the first time to the public thanks to newly discovered conference source tapes, we present Peter Molyneux's keynote from the 2000 Game Developers Conference.

In the initial design stages of Black & White it was Lionhead's ambition to produce a game that was innovative in every way. In this session, Molyneux talks about the design processes needed to fulfill these ambitions and illustrates them with examples of Black & White in every stage of its development, from the test bed right through to near completion. A demo of the game illustrates the integration of the game's AI, 3D engine technology and interface.
