Bio:

In 1996 I graduated from "The University of the Arts" in Philadelphia, earning a B.F.A. in Animation. After starving for a couple of years I decided to move out to California, to work in games. Atari Games gave me my first shot, where I worked on Gauntlet Legends (Coin op). I left Atari to be art director on JetMoto 3 for an awesome company called Pacific Coast Power and Light, a subsidiary of THQ.
A few years later I was snatched up by another great developer, Angel Studios. I jumped right into developing Smuggler's Run for the PS2, and am currently working on Test Drive Offroad-Wide Open.

Inspiration:
I just love all things 3D. The Minds Eye collections and Pixar's early short films inspired me to work in 3D.

I also love the old 3D movies, and am a Stereo photographer in my off time.
Favorite Game Art:
Some of the games that have inspired me are Resident Evil, Oddworld, Metal of Honor, Half Life, Sword of the Berserk, and recently Alice.
Why I Got into the Industry:
I had been playing games since I was 9, and one day realized I could help make them. I had played too many games with mediocre art, or no art at all.
Plus I wanted free sodas...
Tools I Can't Live Without:

I love 3DMax, but have used almost all of the 3D apps.

I started with Imagine on the Amiga, went to StrataStudio Pro, trudged through 3DStudio R4, and found a home with Max. Since then I have been trained in Alias Wavefront, and put my hands into Lightwave and Maya. So far 3Dmax is the most artist friendly, but I'm getting more into Maya.

Music I Listen to While Working:
I listen to alot of Philip Glass, Ambient electonic, and Hendrix. When I feel nostalgic I pop in some Depeche Mode, and MeatBeat Manifesto.
