Current Project:

I'm currently art directing a PS2 title at Daylight Productions in Austin. Can't really say anything about the title itself though.

Credits:

Heart of China, Rise of the Dragon, The Adventures of Willy Beamish, Space Quest 5, A10 2, Aviation Pioneers, Cyberstorm, Cyber Gladiators, Red Baron 2, Pin Ball Creep Night, Tribes, Starsiege, Tribes 2, and at least half-dozen games cancelled before reaching market.

Bio:

Well, I started out in advertising and graphic design but have always had a love for science fiction and fantasy. After some years of designing junk mail, commercial storyboards, logos, and, thankfully, the occasional illustration job and comic book work I took a job at Dynamix in 1990. I'm now at Daylight Productions in Austin.

Inspiration:
Michael Kaluta, Mucha, Shirow Masamune, DaVinci, Verne, Bode, the Crazy Horse monument, Berni Wrightson, the Pre-Raphaelites, Barry Windsor Smith, the Willamette Valley, and thousands of other things, people, and places.
Favorite Game Art:
Hard to say as I like a wide variety of styles. Riven, Grim Fandango, Pajama Sam. Arcanum looks promising.
Why I Got into the Industry:
Well, mostly to get out of advertising, but seriously I see there being great potential for visual story telling and being surrounded by cool people with great ideas. When this happens, it's very inspiring.
Tools I Can't Live Without:

Oh I could live without any of them, I just couldn't make games. The pencil is the only thing I find there's no substitute for. As far as software, I love Photoshop and Max, but ultimately they are just tools.

Music I Listen to While Working:
Eno, Bowie, Dylan, Steven Roach, KD Lang, Ministry, Gyoto Monks, They Might Be Giants, Young, Peter Gabriel, pretty much anything other than country.
