“Zoom” was underpainted in a black acrylic monochrome, then glazed in colored oils. I added a slight motion blur in Photoshop long after the original painting had sold to a private collector. This painting began as a story I told my wife about a technicolor penguin who doesn’t fit in. I plan to paint a new version before long, and hope to sell the whole story to a children’s book publisher.
