Bio:
I'm a freelance 3D artist, based in Los Angeles,
but originally from Brazil, where I graduated as an architect and published
3 books. I have more than 10 years working with computer graphics, and in
the last few years with entertainment, multimedia and games. Last year, 1997,
I won several awards, most noticeably the 3D Design Big Kahuna for the games
category.
Inspiration:
I prefer to work with objects and places that
do not simulate reality, with fantasy, ethnic, cultural, religious, historic
themes.
Favorite Game Art:
Creatures: I just love the places and environments
those critters live in!
Why I Got into the Industry:
When I moved to Los Angeles from Brazil, I realized
that this city is about entertainment, and I always enjoyed fantasy themes.
Tools I Can't Live Without:
I can't live without Photoshop, the Grammar
of Ornament texture CD and without Hash's Animation Master. The two first
ones to create textures, and Hash's AM to create organic models.
Music I Listen to While Working:
None, I like it quiet!
