    Inspiration:

    So much inspires me...

The work of painters like Jean Leon Gerome,  NC Wyeth & John Singer Sargent, contemporary artists like Claire Wendling & Peter de Seve. And also, my mentors: Carlos Huante, Brian Kalin O'Connell, John Clapp, Barron Storey, Courtney Granner and Bunny Carter.

But my biggest inspirations are my family: my sister Lorraine who taught me how to draw when I was a little kid, and my husband, Colin, who always pushes me to better myself, and draw, draw, draw.

    Favorite Game Art:

Half-Life 2 has such a cinematic feel and beautiful environments.  It really seems like you're there.

Why I Got into the Industry:

Ever since I was a small child, I knew I wanted to draw, and do art for a living. The gaming industry allows for plenty of creativity, and everything needs to be designed - and that's what I love to do!

    Tools I Can't Live Without:

Pencils: from blue Colerase to plain ol' graphite, pens, sketchbooks, acrylics, fabric, thread, Photoshop, Painter, Illustrator, scanner, printer, and my Mac.

Music I Listen to While Working:
The Shins, Modest Mouse, Coldplay, The White Stripes, The Pixies, Tenacious D, Thievery Corperation, Frou Frou, Sleater Kinney, my favorite local bands: Judith & Holofernes, The Finches, El Olio Wolof, and too many more...
    Favorite Book:

I love every book in my collection of art books, The Handmaid's Tale, The Good Earth, The Bread Givers, and the Harry Potter series.

    Favorite Movie:

Back to the Future, The Shawshank Redemption, Amelie, Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and many, many more...
