| Bio:
|
|
I
started my career as a Fine Artist in 1971 with an
exclusive contract for a prestigious Los Angeles gallery.
I continued painting until 1984 when I started work
on feature film creature effects, working at various
studios including ILM. This kept me busy for close
to three years. Then, in 1990 I switched careers and
went to Sierra Online. In 1992, I returned to Lucas
Arts and worked in the games division until 1999.
Over the past two years I've worked for New World
Computing and currently Cyan.

| Inspiration:
|
| Max
Ernst, Marcel Duchamp, Rene Magritte, Ralph McQuarrie,
Syd Mead, Wayne Barlow, Peter Wier, Stanely Kubrick,
Sydney Pollack, and Ridley Scott. My daughter, my two
marriages, and human history, which is the greatest
of visual and story resources. |
| Favorite
Game Art: |
| All
of the cinematic work from Lucas, Myst, and
Riven. |
| Why
I Got into the Industry: |
| It's
a more reliable and inspiring way to support a family.
I enjoy the continuing challenges of the technology
and the evolution of visual story telling. |
| Tools
I Can't Live Without: |
|
If
all the power went out I'd still sculpt, paint and
write. MAX and Photoshop do spoil me, and I would
miss the endless variables they allow my imagination.
|
| Music
I Listen to While Working: |
| Most
of the great classical composers, an assorted collection
of Six Degrees titles, Nomad from Australian Music Int.,
Waterbone Tibet, Yo-YO Ma, Apalachian Journey, The Stones,
Steely Dan, Tracy Chapman, and Gypsy Kings. |
