The
latest game I worked on is Broken Sword: The Sleeping
Dragon by Revolution Software. I researched visual
styles for the environments and researched and invented
a new way of using light maps. I also developed some
tools for Lightwave3D used for the game.

| Bio:
|
|
I
started my professional career in 1996 providing art
for an Italian multimedia company. In 1998, I joined
Prograph Research as a 3D artist/animator developing
my first 3D real-time title, Tsunami 2265,
and creating art for another minor title. I then joined
Revolution Software doing some work on Who Wants
To Be A Millionaire 2 and to researching visual
styles for Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon.
I'm the inventor of the lightmapping technique used
in the game, and I also served as the background artist
and Lightwave tools developer.
During
my experience in the industry I grew my skills in
many fields of computer art, while developing a strong
interest in scripting and programming as well. I am
now freelancing and looking for interesting projects.

| Inspiration:
|
|
I admire the art of Oscar Chichoni, Boris Vallejo,
Blade Runner the movie, and H.R. Giger.

| Favorite
Game Art: |
|
I
love anything that comes from id Software's artists,
especially Quake 3 and Doom 3. I also
like Halo and especially Halo 2. They
look fantastic!
|
| Why
I Got into the Industry: |
|
Purely
for passion. I've been trying to make art for games
since I was 16... (Ten years ago!)
|
| Tools
I Can't Live Without: |
|
I
can't do without Lightwave3D for its renderer, speed
and some awesome modeling tools. Maya makes animation
simple...and its interactivity is unique.
|
| Music
I Listen to While Working: |
|
When I work I usually put on Pink Floyd's "The Wall"
album for inspiration. When I don't work -- which is
quite rare -- I can listen to anything from Dire Straits
to Italian rockers... sorry, no ambient, trash, or punk! |
