| Bio:
I am from Taiwan and lived in Hong Kong for 4 years before I came to U.S. 11 years ago. I studied 3D art at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. Right after graduation I entered the game industry as a junior character artist at Angel Studios, which later became Rockstar San Diego. For the past 5 years, I've worked on 6 projects and have created about 120 characters for games. Currently, I work at THQ San Diego. |
| Inspiration:
I will say movie directors like James Cameron (Aliens) and Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator); anime masters like Hayao Miyazaki (Laputa); and martial art novelist Louis Cha are the sources of my artistic inspiration for character design and build up.

Game Art: |
My favorite game art includes Ico (environments), Vagrant Story (characters), and wacky ones like Katamari Damacy. Audio wise, I enjoy music from Katamari Damacy and various Final Fantasy series.

| Why
I Got into the Industry: |
I have loved games since the Nintendo Famicom era, my favorite game back then was Rockman (Megaman). Back in the college days I played a lot of Playstation games such as Final Fantasy Tactics and the Resident Evil series with roommates. At that point of my life I’ve decided to be a game artist instead of films.

| Tools
I Can't Live Without: |
I can’t live without Photoshop I must say… I can switch 3D software from Max to Maya but Photoshop will be always the tool for making textures. Overall I believe game production can't live without a solid engine / stable technology.

| Music
I Listen to While Working: |
| I listen to music mostly soundtracks from movies, games or anime. |
| Favorite
Book: |
My favorite book is Swordsman written by martial art novelist Louis Cha. I am always looking for ways to adapt this book as game or comic book and introduce it to the western audiences.

Movie: |
My favorite movies are
Bill Murray’s Groundhog Day, Ridley Scott’s Gladiator, Zhang Yimou’s Hero, and, of course, Steven Chow’s Kung-Fu Hustle.
