FaceGen SDK Grants Gamers Unique Faces

Singular Inversions has released FaceGen SDK, a program designed to allow game players the ability to easily create an infinity of unique, photo- realistic faces using over 50 intuitive face controls. Designed to be incorporated into games, this software allows users to modify faces, or create random photo-realistic faces for computer-controlled characters.

Requiring as little as 60 bytes for low-bandwidth communication for coding faces, users can start with any model head, including their own, and use the SDK to warp their shape to any face imaginable. It allows for the use of existing morph states or skeletal animations, and existing textures and texture animations. The topology remains unchanged and the neck seam remains completely fixed. The result is a face- animatable, integrated 3D character.

FaceGen SDK has face shape controls that are designed so that any combination produces a realistic face. It provides a set of faces for building that includes roughly 90% of the adult population under 50 years of age, of all major races, to a spatial accuracy of several millimeters.

FaceGen SDK licenses are royalty free, and pricing starts at $25,000.
