What came to my mind while reading this (excellent, by the way) article was another Gamasutra article about developer's hopes for next generation consoles. "Emotions" was what some of them expected to come out of the PS3. I enjoy to see that you don't need Cell or HD to accomplish this goal, but a simple 8bit-framework. Maybe people look in the wrong places for next-gen-titles. Maybe it is not about new hardware, but about maturity.
I'd like to see the term "next gen" recoined. -Wojciech Jurczyk
