Xbox 360 Games Excel In UK Sales Chart

Xbox 360 software has enjoyed one of its best weeks of sales since its launch in the UK this week, with three exclusive titles in the top five. The second new Xbox 360 number one in as many weeks is Capcom’s Dead Rising – the company’s first number one in the UK for five years. The title has become the fastest selling Xbox 360 to date in the UK, beating both Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and last week’s Saints Row.

Atari’s Test Drive Unlimited has also performed well at number four, while Ubisoft’s release of Japanese role-playing game Enchanted Arms has debuted at number twenty-seven. The Xbox 360 release of Madden NFL 07 has also propelled the game up to number fifteen, rounding out a triumphant week for Microsoft’s new format in the UK.

The remaining top ten entry of the week is also notable since Lego Star Wars II was not meant for release until Monday 11th, to coincide with the release of new Star Wars DVDs. Some stores have chosen to release the game on the traditional release day of Friday, though, propelling the title as far as number three, and making a number one next week all but certain.
