Gameloft announced today the launch of Asphalt 3: Street Rules for mobile phones. The previous two installments in the series, Asphalt: Urban GT and Asphalt: Urban GT 2, have surpassed a combined 3 million downloads worldwide.
Building upon the trademark racing mechanics of the Asphalt franchise, this third entry takes players into the heart of the underground racing world, encouraging aggressive driving and adding a number of new features. Players will have their choice of 9 cars and 3 bikes coming directly from the world's most prestigious manufacturers, such as Lamborghini and Aston Martin.
Apart from its partnership agreements with leading licensors and sports personalities such as Ubisoft Entertainment, Universal Pictures, Viacom, Warner Bros., FifPro, Lamborghini, Vans, Paris Hilton, Derek Jeter, Vijay Singh and Geoff Rowley, Gameloft operates its own original titles such as Block Breaker Deluxe, New York Nights, and the Asphalt: Urban GT series.
Asphalt 3: Street Rules is available through 160 telecom operators, 150 partners, in 70 countries, and on www.gameloft.com. It has been adapted to 600 different cell phone models.
