Mobile: AirPlay Launches NFL Live
Advertisement
Mobile gaming start-up AirPlay announced today the launch of NFL AirPlay Live, available for Sprint subscribers. The title is a nationwide multiplayer competition offered during every NFL game broadcast this season. Players can compete against friends, family and the AirPlay TV audience in live "call the play" tournaments.

With NFL AirPlay Live, Sprint PCS Vision, Power VisionSM and Nextel subscribers can call the play before every snap of the ball by using their web-enabled wireless handset to predict run or pass, distance or direction, and even what specific player is going to get the ball on each play. As they watch the action unfold live, players accrue points for correct predictions, chart results and rankings on the AirPlay national leaderboard and even compete live against an NFL player during select nationally broadcast games.

AirPlay also announced the opportunity to play against Chester Taylor of the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, November 6th.

"NFL AirPlay Live marks the introduction of an entirely new entertainment experience for millions of NFL fans" said Morgan Guenther, Chairman and CEO of Airplay. "By launching with the NFL, the PLAYERS INC and Sprint, we're letting those fans 'go deep' with a networked game experience driven by the action on the field itself."

Sprint customers can download NFL AirPlay Live directly from the "Games" section of their web-enabled Sprint PCS Vision, Power Vision or Nextel phones, or text "AirPlay" to 7777 or visit Airplay.com.

Find out more about AirPlay in our recent interview with Guenther.
