D3, Cartoon Network Partner For Ben 10 Game

Officials from D3Publisher of America, a subsidiary of Japanese budget priced publisher D3Publisher, have announced that the company is working with Cartoon Network to bring a game based on the station's original animated series Ben 10 to multiple platforms for release this fall.
The title, Ben 10: Protector of Earth, is being developed by High Voltage Software (Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude) for the Wii, PlayStation 2, and PSP, while 1st Playable Productions (Puzzle Quest DS, Marvel Trading Card Game DS), is developing a version for the Nintendo DS.
In the game, players will take up the role of the series' “everyday-kid-turned-superhero” Ben Tennyson, who through the use of the Omnitrix, is able to transform into one of five alien forms with unique powers to battle against the evil Vilgax, Kevin 11, and the Forever Knights.
According to Cartoon Network, the animated series has gained a considerable, primarily male, fan following since its pilot episode first aired in 2005, with over five million viewers tuning in each month over the summer and millions more playing Ben 10 games on the Cartoon Network website. The station has also announced a pair of long-form movies for the show, which will debut later this year.
“Taking the action-packed world of Ben 10 to the next level and creating an immersive gaming experience for our fans is really exciting for us,” said Christina Miller, vice president of consumer products for Cartoon Network Enterprises. “D3PA has a proven talent for turning Cartoon Network’s popular characters into authentic and well-designed video games. The variety of powerful action play in Ben 10: Protector of Earth will engage players of all levels and keep them coming back.”
