Representatives from Microsoft have announced that its regular Wednesday Xbox Live Arcade update will see arcade conversions Cyberball 2072 and Fatal Fury Special, as well as a limited time half-price discount on older titles like Dig Dug and Small Arms.

In Midway's 1989 robotic battle football title Cyberball 2072, Microsoft reminds players they can "take control of your robotic team, and call the plays to move your team downfield for a touchdown," being mindful of a ball getting ever hotter, requiring that you "keep your eye on the ball to make sure it doesn't go critical before you can score."

Fatal Fury Special is SNK Playmore's third title in the classic fighting game series, where players "join Terry and Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi and 12 of the toughest titans in one of the biggest matches of the millennium," and "compete against the ruler of the underworld Wolfgang Krauzer."

Microsoft has also announced a limited time Labor Day weekend special, where during the 48 hour period beginning at 12:00 a.m. GMT on Sunday, September 2 (5:00 p.m. PDT on Saturday, September 1) through 11: 59 p.m. GMT (4:59 p.m. PDT) on Monday, September 3, a number of games will be priced at half off.

The games include Gastronaut's Smash Bros.-esque Small Arms and PopCap's puzzler Zuma Deluxe, which will be available for 400 Points ($5), and Atari's Gauntlet and Namco's Dig Dug which will sell for 200 Points ($2.50).

Cyberball 2072 and Fatal Fury Special will be added to the service on Wednesday, September 5th. No pricing has yet been announced for the former, but the latter will be priced at 400 Points ($5).
